Who We Are
Xinqi Xu, MD, MS is a board certified in Family Medicine, providing comprehensive general medical care to adult and children from ages 5 and up.
Dr. Xu takes a unique approach to care by use of the latest, most effective medical treatment, combined with old fashioned concern and respect for the patient as an individual and their overall well-being. This personalized approach has helped to culture a rewarding, long-lasting relationship between Dr.Xu and her patients, making her unique among the primary care doctors in her service area.
Dr. Xu obtained her medical degree from Shandong Medical University in China in 1982 and her Master degree from University of Illinois in Chicago in 1987. After completion of her residency in Family Medicine in Catholic Medical Center, New York in 1997, she served as a faculty member with a joined appointment of Assistant Professor of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Since 1998, she also held the position of medical director of St. Catherine Medical center in Flushing, and Department of Family Medicine of St. Vincent Catholic Medical Center in Jamaica, New York. Dr. Xu acted not only as an administrator, but also a teacher. She actively taught medical students and residents during the time she was a faculty and medical director. Dr. Xu got involved in community in under served area and presented her studies and findings in American Acedamy of Family Medicine and Society of Teacher of Family Medicine. She received her award as"Best Faculty of the Year" in 2005.
Dr. Xu was also a wonderful clinical practitioner. she had largest panel of patients during the time she worked in the clinic in St Vincent Catholic Medical Center and was very well loved by her patients. Since 2000, Dr. Xu has shifted her attention gradually from part-time clinical care to full-time after Catholic Medical Center closed in 2005. During this time she established her private practice, and worked as attending physician in Queens Health Center. Again she had a large patient panel and reviewed by her patients as a 5 star physician in Queens Health Center. Since 2013, Dr. Xu has full-time practiced in her private office, that is located in Elmhurst, New York.
Dr. Xu is a very caring physician. She has a strong doctor patient relationship. She takes extra effort to help her patient to improve and extra time to explain to her patient for their condition and treatment plan. Dr. Xu was awarded "American Top Family Physician" in 2008, 2010, and 2013
The office is located in Elmhurst, NY. We speak Engish, Chinese, and Spanish in the office. Laboratory is right in the office and you can have blood and urine tests, and cultures of throat, nail and stool. We also provide EKG, Lung Function test and ultrasound bone density test. we welcome you to come to our beautiful office and meet our wonderful doctor and staff.
